Physiogel

Physiogel (marketed as Fisiogel in Latin America) is a line of hypoallergenic dermo-cosmetic products designed to repair and strengthen the skin's moisture barrier. The formulation utilizes **BioMimic Technology**, which incorporates essential lipids such as ceramides, squalene, and triglycerides that are structurally similar to those found naturally in the skin. By mimicking the skin's natural lipid structure, it helps to restore the skin barrier and reduce transepidermal water loss. It is widely used as an emollient for the management of dry, sensitive skin and inflammatory conditions such as atopic dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, and seborrheic dermatitis. Additionally, it has been studied for the prophylaxis and treatment of skin rashes associated with EGFR inhibitor therapies like erlotinib (Tarceva). The brand was originally developed by Stiefel Laboratories, later acquired by GSK, and regional rights were subsequently divested to companies including LG Household & Health Care.
