Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Phyto-Soya Vaginal Gel is a topical phytotherapeutic product developed by Arkopharma for the treatment of menopausal vaginal atrophy and associated symptoms such as vaginal dryness, irritation, and discomfort. The active ingredient consists of standardized soya isoflavones, which function as phytoestrogens to provide a gentle trophic action on the vaginal epithelium. Formulated as an oil-in-water cream gel with a pH of 5–6, it rehydrates the mucosal layers, forms a protective emollient film, and restores elasticity to the vulvovaginal mucosa. It is typically administered twice weekly via single-dose disposable cannulas and has been evaluated in randomized controlled trials for the relief of vulvovaginal atrophy.
