Overview

**PI-1031** is a synthetic small molecule inhibitor originally developed as a research tool for studying PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathways. It potently inhibits multiple isoforms of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), including p110α, p110β, p110δ, and p110γ, as well as mTOR and DNA-PK, with IC50 values in the low nanomolar range. Primarily used in preclinical research, it demonstrates anti-proliferative effects in cancer cell lines, such as dose-dependent reduction in viability of human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells, by blocking PI3K-dependent signaling that promotes cell survival and growth. No clinical development or approved indications have been reported.
