Overview

Pien Tze Huang is a traditional Chinese medicine formula first documented in the Ming Dynasty (1555 A.D.) and used for centuries to treat inflammation, liver diseases, pain, swelling, and as a folk remedy for cancer. It is composed of rare ingredients including Bovis Calculus (ox gallstone), Moschus (musk), Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma (Tienchi ginseng), and Fel Serpentis Liquidum (snake gall). The formula is believed to clear heat-toxin, resolve blood stasis, detoxify the body, relieve pain and inflammation. Modern preclinical studies suggest it may inhibit tumor growth by suppressing Wnt/β-catenin signaling and immune evasion via downregulation of PD-L1 through IFNGR1-JAK1-STAT3-IRF1 signaling pathways. However, there are no clinical trials or human studies confirming its efficacy or safety[1][2][3][4].
