Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pigmento is a proprietary Ayurvedic herbal formulation developed by Charak for the management of vitiligo, leucoderma, and acquired white patches on the skin. Available in both oral tablet and topical ointment forms, Pigmento works synergistically to stimulate melanogenesis, promote the transfer of melanin to depigmented areas, and protect melanocytes from oxidative and free radical damage. Key herbal ingredients include Bakuchi (*Psoralea corylifolia*), which is rich in psoralens and stimulates melanocytes, alongside Neem (*Melia azadirachta*), Chakramarda (*Cassia tora*), and Turmeric (*Curcuma longa*), which provide antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial support. It is often used in conjunction with UV or phototherapy to enhance repigmentation.
