Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The PIKA Influenza Vaccine is an adjuvanted vaccine candidate being developed by LakeShore Biopharma (formerly YS Biopharma/Lakenord) for the prevention and treatment of influenza virus infections. It utilizes the proprietary PIKA adjuvant platform, which consists of a stabilized double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) molecule. This adjuvant acts as a Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) agonist, stimulating the innate immune system and enhancing both humoral and cellular adaptive immune responses to influenza antigens. The vaccine is designed to provide broad-spectrum protection and improved immunogenicity compared to non-adjuvanted vaccines. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
