Mechanistically, it blocks CSF-1R, inhibiting the growth and survival signals of CSF-1–driven tumor cells. - **Gemcitabine** is a nucleoside analog active against a variety of solid tumors, acting mainly by inhibiting DNA synthesis. - **Nab-paclitaxel** is a nanoparticle albumin-bound form of paclitaxel, used in combination with gemcitabine for metastatic pancreatic cancer; it facilitates targeted delivery to tumor cells through albumin-mediated transport[2][4][6]. This three-drug combination is under investigation for solid tumors, and nab-paclitaxel plus gemcitabine is an approved regimen for metastatic pancreatic cancer. Pimicotinib is investigational and not approved as of September 2025.
