PIP-101 is a palatable oral chemotherapy solution being developed for the treatment of certain leukemias, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), with the goal of improving ease of administration and adherence compared with existing formulations.[3][5][7][15] It is described as an oral solution of a related chemotherapeutic agent that slows or stops the growth of leukemic cells, implying a cytotoxic or antiproliferative mechanism typical of conventional antileukemic agents, and is being advanced toward US registration via a New Drug Application under license to Shorla Oncology while manufacturing remains with the original UK-based developer.[3][5][7][15]
