Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Piracetam + Vinpocetine + Betahistine is a fixed-dose combination therapy developed by Elliott Labs for the treatment of vertigo and cognitive symptoms associated with dementia. This combination leverages the synergistic effects of three distinct pharmacological agents: piracetam, a nootropic that acts as a positive allosteric modulator of AMPA-type glutamate receptors to enhance cognitive function and membrane fluidity; vinpocetine, a cerebral vasodilator and neuroprotective agent that inhibits phosphodiesterase 1 (PDE1) and voltage-gated sodium channels to improve cerebral blood flow and neurometabolism; and betahistine, a histamine H3 receptor antagonist and H1 receptor agonist that improves microcirculation in the inner ear and facilitates vestibular compensation. The product is marketed in India as an oral formulation (tablet or capsule) for patients requiring neurometabolic support and vestibular suppression.
