Overview

Pires M (also known as Pires-M) is a combination oral syrup developed and marketed by Navana Pharmaceuticals in Bangladesh for the symptomatic relief of productive cough, chest congestion, and associated cold symptoms, while also aiding restful sleep. It is a generic formulation of Benylin Mucus Cough Night, containing three active ingredients: guaifenesin (an expectorant that thins and loosens bronchial secretions), levomenthol (a decongestant and mild local anesthetic that provides a cooling sensation to soothe throat irritation), and diphenhydramine hydrochloride (a first-generation antihistamine and antitussive that suppresses the cough reflex and provides sedative effects to assist with sleep).
