Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pirisudanol is a psychostimulant and nootropic agent that is chemically a succinic acid ester of pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) and deanol (dimethylaminoethanol). It is primarily used to treat cognitive deficits, age-related mental decline, and cerebrovascular disorders. By acting as a precursor to acetylcholine and providing pyridoxine, it enhances cerebral metabolism and cholinergic neurotransmission. It has been marketed in several European countries under brand names like Stivane and Mentis.
