Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pirmitegravir (STP0404) is a small molecule HIV-1 integrase inhibitor under investigation for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. It acts by inhibiting the activity of HIV integrase, an enzyme essential for viral replication, thereby blocking the integration of viral DNA into the host genome. Pirmitegravir is chemically distinct from other approved integrase inhibitors and has been developed as a potential new therapy for HIV infection[6]. Its molecular formula is C27H31ClN4O3 and it has a molecular weight of 495.01 g/mol.
