Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pixu 3 decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Xiyuan Hospital, affiliated with the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is specifically designed for the treatment of functional dyspepsia, a condition characterized by chronic indigestion without an obvious structural cause. The formulation is part of a "differential treatment of spleen" approach, where "Pixu" refers to Spleen Deficiency in TCM theory. It was evaluated in a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 1 clinical trial (ChiCTR-TRC-13003200) alongside Pixu 1 and Pixu 2 decoctions to assess symptom relief in adult patients.
