Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PIXY321 + erythropoietin is a combination of two hematopoietic growth factors. PIXY321 is a genetically engineered fusion protein of recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) and interleukin-3 (IL-3) designed to stimulate multilineage hematopoiesis. Erythropoietin is a glycoprotein hormone that stimulates red blood cell production. The combination was investigated for its potential to ameliorate chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression and enhance hematopoietic recovery following high-dose chemotherapy and bone marrow transplantation.
