Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**PK101** is an oral fixed-dose combination of celecoxib and PG201, a 12-herb ethanol soft extract used for osteoarthritis. The product contains 100 mg celecoxib and 405.4 mg PG201 per tablet. Celecoxib selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 to reduce inflammatory prostaglandin production, while PG201 has been reported to suppress inflammatory cytokine pathways including interleukin-1 beta and tumor necrosis factor alpha. PK101 was developed by PMG Pharm for symptomatic knee osteoarthritis, evaluated in Phase 3, and subsequently marketed in South Korea as Layla DS.
