PKC sigma inhibitors are small-molecule therapeutics designed to disrupt the p21Ras signaling pathway in malignancies characterized by activating RAS mutations. By targeting Protein Kinase C sigma (PKCσ), these agents aim to inhibit the oncogenic signaling cascades that drive tumor growth and survival in RAS-mutant cancers. The program was originally developed by Phoenicia BioSciences and subsequently licensed to Viacell for further development. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development, focusing on malignancies with activating Ras mutations.
