PLA2G2A siRNA is a research-grade small interfering RNA (siRNA) reagent designed to silence the expression of the *PLA2G2A* gene, which encodes Phospholipase A2 Group IIA. This enzyme is a secretory calcium-dependent phospholipase involved in inflammatory responses, lipid metabolism, and host defense. In oncological research, particularly in pancreatic and prostate cancers, PLA2G2A siRNA is used to investigate the role of the target in fatty acid synthesis, energy metabolism, and resistance to ferroptosis. It is primarily available as a laboratory tool from various life science suppliers and is not currently being developed as a therapeutic asset by a specific pharmaceutical company.
