Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PlaCCine is a **DNA vaccine platform** developed by IMUNON for prophylactic infectious disease vaccines. It uses proprietary mono- or multi-valent plasmid DNA formulated with a functionalized polymer and delivered via a non-viral vector system to protect the DNA from degradation and promote cellular uptake, enabling in vivo expression of encoded viral antigens and induction of immune responses. The platform is designed as a plug-and-play modality that can incorporate multiple antigens into a single plasmid; IMUNON has identified IMNN-101, a SARS-CoV-2 spike-targeting COVID-19 vaccine candidate, as the lead product emerging from this platform, with reported storage stability of up to one year at 4 degrees Celsius and up to two months at room temperature.
