Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of placebo and DA-9701. DA-9701 (Motilitone) is a multi-targeting botanical drug developed for the treatment of functional dyspepsia and gastrointestinal dysfunction. It consists of extracts from Corydalis Tuber and Pharbitidis Semen, both used in traditional medicine for their analgesic and prokinetic effects. The drug acts via multiple mechanisms, including prokinetic effects (enhancing gastric emptying), fundus relaxation, visceral analgesia, antagonism at dopamine D₂ receptors, antagonism at serotonin 5-HT₃ receptors, and agonism at serotonin 5-HT₄ receptors involved in gastrointestinal motility. Placebo is an inert substance with no pharmacological activity used as a control in clinical trials[1][3][10].
