Overview

This is a combination of two components: - **Placebo** is an inactive substance or treatment designed to have no therapeutic effect, often used as a control in clinical trials. - **Midazolam** is a short-acting benzodiazepine with rapid onset, used primarily for its sedative, anxiolytic, muscle relaxant, anticonvulsant, and amnesic properties. It acts by enhancing the effect of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) at the GABA-A receptor in the central nervous system. Midazolam is commonly administered before medical procedures or anesthesia to induce sedation and reduce anxiety and memory of events. It can also be used for acute seizure management and as part of anesthesia induction[1][2][3][4][5].
