Placental-derived mesenchymal stem cells (PMSCs) are an investigational cell therapy developed by Kasr El Aini Hospital for the treatment of infertility and recurrent implantation failure. These multipotent stem cells are isolated from placental tissue and can be administered to the uterine cavity in either an undifferentiated state or after differentiation into endometrium-like cells. The therapy aims to improve endometrial receptivity and thickness by promoting tissue regeneration and increasing vascularity, thereby enhancing the success rates of embryo implantation during assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedures such as ICSI.
