Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Placental matrix-derived mesenchymal stem cells are an investigational, placenta-derived cellular repair-matrix product comprising mesenchymal stem cells with associated extracellular matrix and placental bioactive factors. The product was evaluated in a small prospective, open-label, non-randomized Phase 1 study of intrapenile injection for **Peyronie's disease**. Its proposed regenerative activity is mediated primarily through local paracrine signaling, extracellular-matrix support, angiogenic and wound-repair effects, and modulation of fibrotic tissue remodeling rather than through a defined single molecular target.
