Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Plasmid AMEP is a gene therapy agent encoding the protein antiangiogenic metargidin peptide (AMEP), which is the disintegrin domain of ADAM-15 (metargidin). It exerts antiproliferative and antiangiogenic effects by binding to αvγ3 and α5β1 integrins. The plasmid is designed without antibiotic resistance genes and is delivered to tissues using electrotransfer (electric pulses).
