Plasmodium vivax circumsporozoite protein synthetic peptides refer to an investigational malaria vaccine candidate designed to provide protection against the *Plasmodium vivax* parasite. The vaccine is composed of long synthetic peptides (LSPs) that mimic specific antigenic regions of the circumsporozoite protein (CSP), the primary surface protein on the sporozoite stage of the parasite. These peptides typically encompass the conserved N- and C-terminal domains along with the central repeat regions (often including both VK210 and VK247 variants) to ensure broad coverage against diverse parasite strains. The mechanism involves the induction of high-titer neutralizing antibodies that prevent sporozoites from invading hepatocytes, as well as the stimulation of T-cell-mediated immune responses to target and eliminate infected liver cells. This candidate has been evaluated in Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials, particularly in endemic regions, to assess its safety, immunogenicity, and protective efficacy.
