Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Plat-C is an approved Ayurvedic polyherbal tablet formulation developed and manufactured by Charak Pharma. It is formulated to support healthy platelet levels, immunity, and overall recovery during conditions associated with low platelet counts, such as dengue, malaria, and other viral or febrile infections. The formulation contains standardized extracts of Carica papaya (papaya leaf), Bhumyamalaki (Phyllanthus niruri), Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), and Marich (Piper nigrum). Its mechanism of action involves protecting platelets from peripheral destruction, stimulating healthy hematopoietic functions (specifically megakaryocyte activity in the bone marrow to accelerate platelet synthesis), and providing antioxidant and immunomodulatory support.
