Platanus acerifolia allergen extract is derived from the pollen of the London plane tree (*Platanus acerifolia*, also known as *Platanus x hispanica*). [4, 8] It is used both for the diagnosis of allergies, typically via skin prick tests, and for allergen-specific immunotherapy to treat conditions like allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and asthma triggered by this pollen. [4, 8, 10, 16] Allergen immunotherapy aims to induce immune tolerance and reduce the severity of allergic symptoms by gradually exposing the patient's immune system to the allergen.
