plated Intensive Repair Serum is a topical regenerative skin care product containing human platelet extract (HPE), an allogeneic exosome product derived from US-sourced, leukocyte-reduced apheresed platelets. Developed by the Mayo Clinic in partnership with Rion Aesthetics, the product is formulated with a Vanicream base and consists of platelet-derived extracellular vesicles (exosomes) rich in anti-inflammatory cues and antioxidant enzymes. It is designed to address signs of skin aging and photodamage by targeting cellular senescence markers, telomere damage, and extracellular matrix components. Clinical evaluation in Phase 1 studies has demonstrated its ability to improve various clinical measures of facial photodamage, including fine lines, wrinkles, skin tone, texture, erythema, and pigmentation.
