Overview

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an autologous biological therapy prepared from a patient's own peripheral blood through centrifugation, resulting in a high concentration of platelets and growth factors. In the clinical trial conducted by the Wael Elbanna Clinic, PRP is being investigated as an intrauterine infusion to improve endometrial quality and receptivity in women undergoing frozen embryo transfer (FET) during ICSI cycles. The therapeutic effect is attributed to the release of various growth factors, such as Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), which promote angiogenesis, cell proliferation, and tissue remodeling within the endometrium to enhance the likelihood of successful embryo implantation.
