Overview

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) autologous eye drops are a topical ophthalmic biologic therapy used for the treatment of severe dry eye disease and corneal damage. Developed as a clinical service by Enrich PRP (Enrich Advanced Eye Care), the drops are prepared from a patient's own blood, resulting in a 100% biological, preservative-free formulation. The preparation contains a high concentration of platelets that release essential growth factors—including Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF), Transforming Growth Factor beta (TGF-β), and Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)—and cytokines to promote tissue repair, corneal epithelial healing, and nerve regeneration. Unlike standard autologous serum eye drops, PRP eye drops provide a more concentrated healing modality specifically suited for severe ocular surface disease where traditional therapies have failed.
