Overview
**PLT 3514** was an oral medical-food/nutraceutical emulsion developed by Pilot Therapeutics for dietary management as an adjunct to asthma treatment and marketed as Airozin. The orange/peach-flavored formulation delivered gamma-linolenic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid from concentrated borage and fish oils. In randomized studies in healthy adults and patients with mild-to-moderate atopic asthma, daily administration increased fatty-acid exposure and reduced stimulated whole-blood leukotriene biosynthesis; clinical efficacy on asthma outcomes was not established in the cited studies.
