Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PLT012M is a monoclonal antibody targeting CD36 (cluster of differentiation 36), developed by Pilatus Biosciences for the treatment of chronic liver diseases, including metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), advanced fibrosis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). CD36 is a scavenger receptor that plays a critical role in lipid uptake and metabolism. By blocking CD36-mediated lipid uptake, PLT012M aims to reduce hepatic steatosis, inhibit the activation of inflammatory macrophages, and mitigate endothelial dysfunction and fibrogenic signaling in the liver. The drug is currently in Phase 1/2 development.
