PLT102

PLT102 is a humanized monoclonal antibody being developed by Pilatus Biosciences that selectively blocks CD36-mediated lipid uptake in the tumor microenvironment. By targeting CD36 (also known as Platelet glycoprotein 4), the drug disrupts a key metabolic mechanism that drives immunosuppression and immune exclusion within tumors. Specifically, PLT102 depletes immunosuppressive cell populations, including regulatory T cells (Tregs) and pro-tumor M2-like macrophages, while enhancing the antitumor activities of natural killer (NK) cells and cytotoxic CD8+ T cells. The drug is currently in a Phase 1 clinical trial (NCT07337525) for patients with advanced solid tumors, such as colorectal cancer, and has received FDA Fast Track and Orphan Drug Designations. Preclinical studies have also shown efficacy in liver malignancies and potential as a sensitizer for anti-PD-L1 therapies.
