Overview

PLVX-Cd36 lentivirus is a research-grade lentiviral expression vector designed for the ectopic overexpression of the murine Cd36 gene. CD36, also known as fatty acid translocase, is a multifunctional scavenger receptor that plays a critical role in lipid metabolism by facilitating the transport of long-chain fatty acids into cells. In oncological research, particularly concerning acute myeloid leukemia (AML), CD36 has been implicated in metabolic reprogramming that supports leukemia cell survival, growth, and progression. This lentiviral construct is utilized in gain-of-function studies to investigate the physiological and pathological roles of CD36 in normal hematopoietic cells (such as bone marrow and spleen cells) and leukemia models. These studies aim to characterize the functional impact of CD36 manipulation and evaluate the potential toxicity and safety of CD36-targeted therapeutic strategies in the treatment of AML.
