Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PLX-MS is an investigational allogeneic cell therapy composed of placenta-derived mesenchymal-like adherent stromal cells developed by Pluristem Therapeutics for the prevention and treatment of multiple sclerosis. Preclinical studies suggest that these PLX cells exert immunomodulatory and neuroprotective effects by secreting anti-inflammatory cytokines and trophic factors, shifting immune responses away from pathogenic autoimmunity and potentially limiting demyelination and neurodegeneration in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis models.【16】
