Overview

PM3023 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a tight junction protein frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, particularly gastric and pancreatic cancers. The therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes and binds to CLDN18.2-positive tumor cells, leading to targeted cytotoxicity. PM3023 is currently being evaluated in early-phase clinical trials in China for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including gastric cancer, gastroesophageal junction cancer, and pancreatic cancer, that have failed standard therapies. The development is primarily led by academic institutions such as The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University.
