PM601

PM601 is a small molecule agonist of the G protein-coupled receptor 119 (GPR119) being developed by Pharvis for the treatment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). GPR119 is a metabolic receptor primarily expressed in the gastrointestinal tract and pancreatic beta cells, where its activation stimulates the release of incretin hormones such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion. In the context of NASH, GPR119 agonists are investigated for their ability to improve lipid metabolism, reduce hepatic steatosis, and mitigate inflammatory processes in the liver. PM601 is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
