Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**PM8002 + PM1009** is a combination therapy currently in early-phase clinical development for the treatment of first-line hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). PM8002 is a bifunctional monoclonal antibody that targets both PD-L1 (Programmed cell death ligand 1) and VEGF (Vascular endothelial growth factor), acting as an immune checkpoint inhibitor and antiangiogenic agent[1][4][6]. PM1009 is a bispecific antibody that targets TIGIT (T-cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains) and PVRIG (PVRIG, poliovirus receptor-related immunoglobulin domain), designed to block immunosuppressive pathways in the tumor microenvironment and deplete TIGIT-positive regulatory T cells, enhancing T cell and NK cell antitumor activity[5]. Both components are human-derived antibodies. The drug is administered intravenously in clinical studies[1]. This combination seeks to address HCC by leveraging immune activation and antiangiogenic effects through dual and bispecific immunotherapy.
