Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PMC-003 is a fully human monoclonal antibody developed by PharmAbcine that targets Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 2 (VEGFR2). It was designed as an anti-angiogenic therapy for the treatment of various neoplasms. By binding to VEGFR2, PMC-003 aims to block the interaction between the receptor and its ligand, VEGF, thereby inhibiting the signaling pathways responsible for tumor-induced angiogenesis. This process is intended to deprive tumors of the blood supply necessary for growth and metastasis. However, development of PMC-003 was discontinued in the early stages of research as the developer prioritized other candidates in its pipeline, such as olinvacimab (TTAC-0001).
