Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PMC-005BL (also known as PMC-005) is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody developed by PharmAbcine that specifically targets the epidermal growth factor receptor variant III (EGFRvIII), a mutant form of EGFR frequently expressed in various cancers, including glioblastoma. As a fully human IgG antibody, PMC-005BL is designed to bind exclusively to the mutant receptor without cross-reacting with wild-type EGFR, potentially reducing off-target toxicities. The drug is being developed as a versatile platform technology suitable for multiple therapeutic modalities, including CAR-T, CAR-NK, and CAR-macrophage therapies, as well as T-cell/NK-cell engagers and radio-immunotherapy.
