Overview

PMC930 BiCAR-T is an investigational bispecific chimeric antigen receptor T cell (BiCAR-T) therapy. This therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express two distinct chimeric antigen receptors, enabling the modified cells to recognize and target two different tumor-associated antigens simultaneously. The dual-targeting approach aims to reduce the risk of cancer relapse due to antigen escape, a common limitation in single-antigen CAR T therapies. While specific target antigens for PMC930 BiCAR-T are not detailed in available sources, bispecific CAR T cell therapies are generally being developed for hematologic malignancies such as B-cell lymphomas and leukemias[3]. The mechanism of action is based on redirecting the patient’s immune system to selectively attack malignant cells expressing either or both targeted antigens.
