Overview

PMN442 is a humanized monoclonal antibody drug candidate developed by ProMIS Neurosciences. It is designed to selectively target and neutralize toxic oligomeric forms of alpha-synuclein (a-syn), which are implicated in the pathogenesis of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) and other synucleinopathies. By binding specifically to these pathogenic misfolded protein species, PMN442 aims to protect neurons from their toxic effects while sparing normal forms of alpha-synuclein. The drug leverages proprietary computational modeling technology to identify unique epitopes on the surface of toxic oligomers, enabling high selectivity for disease-causing protein conformations[1][2][4].
