PMPN-DP is an investigational transcription factor protein drug (TFPD) being developed by Qurgen for the treatment of diabetes. The therapeutic is designed using Qurgen's proprietary protein delivery platform, which enables the intracellular delivery of transcription factors to modulate gene expression. PMPN-DP aims to restore insulin production by promoting the regeneration or transdifferentiation of pancreatic cells into functional, insulin-secreting beta cells. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
