Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PN-1018 is a preclinical-stage antigen-specific glycopolymer developed by Polyneuron Pharmaceuticals using its proprietary Antibody-Catch™ technology platform. The drug is designed to selectively target and eliminate pathological autoantibodies associated with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) and Multifocal Motor Neuropathy (MMN). By mimicking the natural carbohydrate epitopes that these autoantibodies target, PN-1018 acts as a decoy to neutralize the harmful antibodies without affecting the rest of the immune system. The program was advanced toward Clinical Trial Application (CTA) approval following a Series A financing extension in 2020. The Antibody-Catch™ platform focuses on designing injectable, biodegradable glycopolymers to selectively eliminate pathological antibodies causing autoimmune diseases.
