PN-943 is an orally stable, gastrointestinal-restricted peptide that acts as a selective antagonist of the α4β7 integrin on leukocytes. By binding specifically to this integrin, PN-943 blocks leukocyte trafficking and activation in the gut, thereby inhibiting colon inflammation and reducing signs and symptoms of active ulcerative colitis.
