Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PN-SIA49 is a cross-reactive human monoclonal antibody developed by Pomona Ricerca for the treatment and prevention of influenza infections caused by group 1 strains. The antibody targets conserved regions of the group 1 hemagglutinin (HA) protein, a surface glycoprotein essential for viral attachment and entry into host cells. By binding to these conserved epitopes, PN-SIA49 provides broad neutralization against multiple group 1 influenza A viruses, including H1N1 and H5N1. The candidate is currently in preclinical development.
