PN6047 is a potent, selective, small molecule G protein-biased agonist of the delta opioid receptor (DOR) developed by PharmNovo. Unlike traditional mu-opioid agonists, PN6047 is designed to provide analgesia for neuropathic pain and treat sensory hypersensitivity conditions, such as chronic cough and itch, without inducing common opioid-related side effects like respiratory depression, abuse potential, or analgesic tolerance. By specifically targeting the DOR with biased signaling, the compound aims to activate therapeutic pathways while minimizing the recruitment of beta-arrestin.
