Overview
PNB-281 is a nanoparticle formulation of the taxane chemotherapy agent docetaxel, developed by Peptinovo Biopharma using its proprietary PALM (Peptide-Amphiphile Lipid Micelle) nanotechnology platform. The PALM technology is designed to enhance the delivery of cytotoxic payloads directly to tumor tissues by utilizing a peptide-based targeting system, which aims to improve the therapeutic index and reduce the systemic toxicities typically associated with conventional docetaxel treatments. As of late 2025, PNB-281 has received regulatory approval to commence its first-in-human Phase 1 clinical trials in Australia, targeting patients with advanced solid tumors. The manufacturing of the clinical-grade product is supported by partnerships with Ardena for drug product manufacturing and Alcami for lyophilization and global distribution.
