Overview

PNB-New #4 is an experimental antineoplastic agent currently in the preclinical stage of development by Peptinovo Biopharma. It utilizes the proprietary PALM™ (Peptide-Amphiphile Lipid Micelle) nanoparticle technology to deliver a tubulin disruptor payload directly to tumor cells. The PALM™ platform is designed to encapsulate hydrophobic chemotherapeutic agents, improving their solubility and pharmacokinetic profile while potentially reducing systemic toxicity. By targeting tubulin, the drug interferes with microtubule dynamics, which are essential for mitotic spindle formation, thereby causing cell cycle arrest and inducing apoptosis in rapidly proliferating cancer cells.
