Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Pnemotex** is a Russian-approved, adsorbed 13-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine developed and manufactured by Nanolek for prevention of pneumococcal infection in individuals from 2 months of age through adulthood. It contains capsular polysaccharides from *Streptococcus pneumoniae* serotypes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19A, 19F, and 23F conjugated to the CRM197 carrier protein and adsorbed to aluminum phosphate. Vaccination elicits serotype-specific antibodies against pneumococcal capsular polysaccharides, supporting protection against disease caused by the included serotypes.
