Pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine 10-valent adsorbed is a biologic vaccine designed to prevent invasive disease, pneumonia, and acute otitis media caused by *Streptococcus pneumoniae*. It contains capsular polysaccharides from ten different pneumococcal serotypes, each individually conjugated to a carrier protein (such as CRM197, Protein D, tetanus toxoid, or diphtheria toxoid) and adsorbed onto an aluminum-based adjuvant. The conjugation process converts the T-cell independent polysaccharide antigens into T-cell dependent antigens, enabling a robust immune response and immunological memory in infants and young children. Two primary versions exist: Synflorix (developed by GSK), which targets serotypes 1, 4, 5, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19F, and 23F; and Pneumosil (developed by Serum Institute of India), which targets serotypes 1, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 19A, 19F, and 23F.
